Barebone is pre-assemly or ready-made machine with motherboard, case, and validated power supply unit. Desktop is all-in-one with built-in audio & video and low-cost solution. 3rd party OEM ready-made barebones will do. Server may need compute power with optional RAID for data redundancy, and mostly rack-mountable chassis in cold room or data center. Power budget is different depending on FBDIMM, Optional RAID with 8 to 24 hard drives .. that 1U is ok with pre-assembly or ready-made; but not for the server with storage RAID. We're expert in storage server under Linux. Workstation needs additional 3D video card for CAD/CAM, stereographics, simulation .. either single or dual processor motherboard.
